Take Time To Reflect

This is one of the very few New Years that I have seen ushered in! We are not one of those families who celebrate this wonderful holiday. But I have sat here all evening and reflected back on 2011 and thought I would jot my thoughts down. As I stated in my earlier blog, it was a wonderful year for our little business. But the most wonderful gift we received this year was the birth of our second beautiful granddaughter, Winnie Mae.  A sweet southern name for a sweet southern girl! She just turned 6 months old today! She and her sister, Olivia, are the highlights of our lives, followed by our three adult guys (sons, I should say). We are so blessed! This year has been very trying for my Mom who was diagnosed with Atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) but she has seen better days the last half of 2011. She stays as involved in our business as possible, and I will continue to see that she has tasks that she can do.

We pray for a good year in 2012 and extend those prayers and wishes to all of you. May God bless you and your families this year, but while the New Year is still very young, take time to reflect back on 2011. I think you will discover, as I did, that the blessings far out weigh the disappointments...and be thankful for those blessings! And for those who share my love for sewing, I hope you sew a little love into those projects --- or in what ever hobby you love to do, share your love! Happy New Year!

Ephesians 4:2 (NIV)
